As fintech continues to be a fast-growingcustomer segment for MA, the Covec Cluster Team (Colombia,Venezuela, Ecuador, Surinam & Guyana) drives Mastercard'sposition as partner of choice for fintech companies and focuses onopportunities for growth with the segment and how Mastercardenables the fintech segment overall. The cluster Covec team alsosupports other teams to engage with Fintech companies as customersand collaborators. As the world of fintechs keeps evolving, thisposition sitting in Colombia may evolve as well, and may includenew accountabilities and priorities in the future, in order to keepdeploying the evolving global fintech strategy and valuepropositions. We are now seeking a Fintech & Enablers Directorwith a particular focus on the Covec (Colombia, Venezuela, Ecuador,Surinam & Guyana) region, to work at the intersection betweenour startups and partners, our business lines and Mastercard keyclients, driving collaboration, innovation, and value.Responsibilities • Act as the connection between local and regionalteams to execute Mastercard's strategy with the Fintech community.Work collaboratively with the local and LAC Teams. This requiresalignment on strategies and objectives for the different Fintechprograms, sharing best practices from other regions, demonstratingthought leadership, and building an aligned execution plan. • Workas part of a global team to source, evaluate and collaborate withinnovative Fintechs and Enablers active in the Covec region. Thisrequires identifying the specific needs of these Fintechcommunities, as well as creating and delivering the appropriatevalue propositions to market for the different Fintech segments. •Work closely with digital partnership leads, regional fintech leadsand parts of Mastercard's product business to identifyopportunities for mutually beneficial collaboration and partnershipwith fintech partners. • Responsible for executing on an innovativestrategy to drive Engage Fintech Express and other Fintechinitiatives in Covec, leveraging a combination of partnerships andrelationship management skills. • Develop thought leadership,identifying and deploying the appropriate value proposition anddriving marketing and comms initiatives aligning global frameworkto regional priorities and strategy. • Drive initiatives aimed atidentifying and qualifying relevant Fintech and Enablers, assessingtheir strategic fit with Mastercard and our customers. • Drive anddevelop business and competitive intelligence reports. Identify theright metrics and KPIs and perform comparison with other Fintechstakeholders in the ecosystem. Track and report businessperformance of the engagement with Fintech and Enablers, which alsoincludes Engage Partners Pipeline Management. • Build rapport andtrust with Mastercard customers to maximize engagements betweenstartups & Enablers and customers. All About You • Possesses apassion for the startup and Fintech community with demonstratedexperience of working with the segment. • Ability to quickly learnabout new technologies, demonstrating startup subject matterexpertise and industry thought leadership. • Results driven,solutions and customer focused, with strong business acumen andsense of urgency. • Demonstrated multi-disciplinary knowledge, i.e.innovative product development, business development, marketing,client relationship management, emerging technologies. •Proactively able to identify opportunities before others anddevelop strategies to take advantage of these opportunities. •Demonstrated experience quickly understanding, utilizing andevangelizing new technology. • Demonstrated ability to takeaccountability and drive to desired results with passion, ambitionand aptitude. • Demonstrated strong self-awareness, open todifferent approaches and ideas and open to challenging status quoto drive new business initiatives. Self-motivated, thrives in theambiguity that comes with a lean and agile team at the forefront ofan evolving space. • Expertise gained in Retail Banking and/orPayment Industry is highly desirable. • MBA or other advanceddegree in strategy, marketing, communications, innovation,entrepreneurship or other related field a plus. • 100% English oraland written communication skills.
