Job Description: Director of Spa The Director of Spa is responsible for managing and supervising the resort's Spa and Recreation services, including the Ritz-Carlton Spa, Gym, Ritz Kids, Hotel Giftshop, and pool attendants. The role involves coordinating the delivery of spa services, overseeing reservations, reception, and locker rooms, and working with supervisors and staff to ensure smooth operations. The goal is to enhance guest and employee satisfaction while maximizing departmental financial performance. Candidate Profile Education and Experience 2-year degree from an accredited university in Business Administration, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or a related field; or a 4-year bachelor's degree with relevant experience. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a hotel spa environment, with current or recent roles as Spa Director or Spa Manager. Proven leadership and team management skills. Fluent in English; proficiency in Spanish is a plus. Experience in luxury hotel/spa environments is preferred. Core Responsibilities Managing Spa Operations and Budgets: Vendor selection, product management, inventory control, sales monitoring, and maintaining cleanliness. Sales, Marketing, and Revenue Management: Developing promotions, integrating spa services into marketing efforts, managing promotional materials, and controlling expenses. Recreation Operations: Supervising pool and gift shop staff, managing children's programs, and maintaining pool areas. Customer Service: Leading guest hospitality, empowering employees, utilizing guest feedback, and ensuring compliance with brand standards. Human Resources: Hiring, training, performance appraisals, employee development, communication, and fostering a positive work environment. Additional Requirements Experience as a Director is required. Key skills include customer service, corporate development, and technical skills relevant to spa management.
