Job Title: Trainer Position type: Permanent (Hybrid) Location: San Jose, Costa Rica OR Bogota, Colombia Job family: Educational Services About Your Business Area/Department: The Customer Learning Services team helps customers achieve proficiency and high productivity when migrating to new systems, onboarding new staff, or using new features and products. We deliver quality learning experiences through videos and interactive e-learning in multiple languages, via virtual and live classrooms taught by highly-skilled trainers. Summary of the role: You will lead and facilitate training courses in classroom or virtual sessions for internal and external customers. You will be recognized as a subject matter expert in your area of expertise. You will arrange suitable training solutions, actively seeking and creatively implementing effective methods to educate, enhance, and maximize customer performance using Amadeus products. You will be responsible for delivering Amadeus product training both in person within your region and virtually to customers and staff worldwide. You will design, deliver, and administer standard and customized training courses on the use of Amadeus products and solutions, utilizing various channels and media for efficient and high-quality delivery. You will share and receive feedback proactively and contribute to Amadeus Learning's strategic objectives. In this role, you’ll: Provide high-quality training tailored to the course content, audience, and business needs. Ensure training materials and exercises are well-prepared and updated for each session. Act as an Amadeus ambassador in all interactions with colleagues and customers. Develop or adapt training courses across all Travel Channels customer segments in collaboration with our e-learning Development department and Instructional Designers. Collaborate with Learning design and development teams to define and build training solutions. Manage dependencies, anticipate risks, and monitor their impact. Adapt approaches to foster positive relations across cultures. Implement innovative systems within facilitated learning to promote adoption of Amadeus products through digital and multimedia strategies relevant to each customer segment. About the ideal candidate: Basic qualifications and skills Education: Vocational or University degree in Tourism, Education, or related field, or equivalent work experience. Experience: 5+ years in the travel industry and 3+ years in training delivery. Languages: Fluent in Spanish and English; proficiency in Portuguese is a plus. Preferred qualifications and skills Computing: Excellent skills in PowerPoint, Word, and familiarity with Excel. Comfortable with technology and virtual connectivity tools like Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Google Meet. Experience with interactivity platforms such as Slido, Kahoot is desirable. Specific Knowledge: Strong functional knowledge of Amadeus GDS and travel agency workflows. Advanced oral and written communication skills, digital communication management, listening and questioning techniques, and workshop management skills. Ability to deliver advanced presentations, manage priorities and time effectively, and work collaboratively in a diverse environment. Experience with Amadeus products is preferred. Availability to work from Amadeus premises or customer offices. Business Understanding: Customer-centric, strategic thinking, creative problem-solving, and excellent interpersonal skills. Ability to communicate effectively with all organizational levels and external partners. Capable of strategic planning, influencing groups, and fostering harmonious relations.
