Date Posted: 2025-04-24 Country: Colombia Location: LOC42001: Otis Colombia - Bogotá Calle 140 No 12b - 25, Bogotá Director HR Operations Role Overview: This is a leadership role reporting to the GBS H2R leader, responsible for overseeing all aspects of payroll processing and HR administrative functions across the Americas region, partnering with Genpact to ensure accurate and timely payroll delivery while maintaining compliance with local regulations, managing employee data, and coordinating with HR teams to address administrative needs. Would be required to work in EST time zone. On a typical day you will: Payroll Management: - Provide oversight and governance over end-to-end payroll processing for all Americas region employees, including data collection, calculations, and distribution.- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and provincial payroll regulations, including tax withholdings and deductions.- Partner with Genpact and GBS leadership to monitor and resolve payroll discrepancies, investigating and addressing issues promptly.- Support the implementation and maintenance of payroll systems, including updates and upgrades to ensure accuracy.- Generate payroll reports, including tax filings and benefit deductions.- Management of vendors supporting HR/PR Shared Services HR Administration: - Oversee the management of employee data, including personnel records, benefits information, and employment verifications. Partner with Genpact, Internal Controls and HR CoEs for audits and data integrity management- Coordinate with HR teams for excellence in new hire onboarding, employee terminations, and changes in employment status.- Oversee the employee leave administration processes, including vacation, sick leave, and family medical leave.- Provide oversight over processes and maintain employee documentation, ensuring compliance with company policies and legal requirements. Team Leadership: - Provide oversight for a team of payroll and HR staff, providing guidance and governance- Provide oversight of QCPC/Continuous improvement results and opportunities and partner with global peers to standardize approach- Escalation management focused on supporting regional leadership and colleague experience- Provide input into performance management and employee and non-employee development initiatives- Foster a collaborative work environment within the team and across all functions and vendors Compliance and Reporting- Stay updated on changing payroll regulations and ensure compliance with all applicable laws, maintaining a direct connection to the Tax CoE and vendors- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs/CSLs) related to the scope of work managed by the shared service organization and work with Genpact to address any service delivery challenges and improvement plans- Partner with GBS leadership and Genpact to prepare and present regular service reviews and reports on payroll and HR administrative activities to senior global and regional management What You Will Need to be Successful: - Bachelor's degree, in human resources preferred, Accounting, or any related field- Experience: 14+ Years of exp in North America Payroll/Latin American and HR Administration- Proven experience managing payroll operations in a multi-country, multi-state or multi-province environment- Expertise in payroll systems and software; ADP Globalview or Celergo preferred- Expertise in vendor management- Strong understanding of employment laws and regulations across Americas region- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with various stakeholders- Leadership experience in managing and developing a team - If you live in a city, chances are we will give you a lift or play a role in keeping you moving every day. - Otis is the world’s leading elevator and escalator manufacturing, installation, and service company.
