Over the coming weeks and months, we will be implementing a phased approach to bringing employees back to site to ensure the health and safety of our teams. **For Current Gilead Employees and Contractors: **Job Description**:**This key role will strategically lead the marketing efforts, set the long term sales and marketing vision and establish and manage the field sales organization for the Virology franchise. Reporting to the affiliate General Manager. The Virology Director will establish appropriate procedures, systems, metrics and infrastructures to support marketing and sales operations. He/she will provide strong leadership skills with an ability to set a lead change, and to lead and mentor others. This role is responsible for overseeing the hiring and management of the marketing team, digital team and field sales force, including establishment of the incentive compensation program, territory sizing and alignment, sales force effectiveness, sales training, digital strategy and personnel development. Will be part of the Colombia affiliate Leadership Team.** **Essential Duties & Job Functions**: **The responsibilities for this role include, but are not limited to**: - **Supervise the formulation of brand strategy through strategic leadership and motivates the team to drive innovation to differentiate Gilead in the market.** - **Provide timely and thoughtful analysis and feedback on product/market conditions to a wide variety of internal 'customers' (marketing, commercial operations, senior management, etc.)** - **Exhibit excellent understanding of the market developed via market research, local and international networking, advisory boards and Strong external network in the health ecosystem.** - **Manage risk and P&L;** - **Ensure forecast and Brand POA excellence  Include roll-up cross-product franchise forecast, POA and budget** - **Management of Sales and Marketing personnel teams to achieve optimal business outcomes and foster a strong cross-functional teamwork and synergies.** - **Optimally leverages and appropriately allocates human and financial resources across business units and franchises. Manage risk and P&L.;** - **Working with the Market Access Director, Medical Director and Government Affairs Director, to look at the development and implementation of market access plans for Colombia, at national level (PBS) and HMOs level (EPS/IPS), guaranteeing timely listing.** - **Work with the Medical department to land a holistic therapeutic area strategy that position Gilead as a solid partner to the medical community.** - **Ensures the effective implementation of operational sales plans and the leadership of initiatives designed to raise sales force effectiveness.** - **Guides the Marketing and digital teams to bring solid, innovative and customer centric tactics to drive differentiation of Gilead’s products and maximize therapeutic area linkage to care programs.** - **Represent Colombia and the LATAM team as a member of the Global/Regional Marketing committees and other Global teams as required.** - **Develop critical relationships with Key Opinion Leaders and other allied health care professionals and health system stakeholders.** - **Maintain an in depth understanding of relevant therapeutic areas, products and markets as well as healthcare system processes including reimbursement.** - **Ensure Sales and Marketing teamwork in alignment with local Colombian laws, Company policies and Gilead Values.** - **Close collaboration with key internal stakeholders including the LATAM regional team, Medical Affairs, Regulatory Affairs, Clinical Operations, Human Resources, Global Marketing, Global Pricing and Market Access and other global colleagues.** - **Work closely with distributors and other partners to achieve sales objectives.** - **Teamwork & Customer Service Exemplary teamwork with KAM´s, HEOR, Sales Managers, BUDs and other internal stakeholders develop and maintain excellent productive relationships with hey stakeholders** - **Create an environment in which every member of the team has an opportunity to succeed, regardless of their tenure or standing within the organization** - **Provides vision & direction** - **Establishes a clear vision, focus and direction**: - **Sets priorities, creates logical work plans, and communicates progress**: - **Communicates honestly, effectively, and respectfully**: - **Engages and motivates to create energy, enthusiasm and commitment**: - **Influences others across the organization**: - **Drives for excellence** - **Creates an exceptional working environment**: - **Sets clear, consistent and challenging performance expectations that are aligned with company and department goals**: - **Consistently achieves results**: - **Champions continuous improvement, new ideas, and initiatives tha
