Working closely with external communications, our Internal Communications team tells Uber’s story to all the hard-working and passionate employees who make our vision a reality: whether that’s sharing company priorities, explaining our product roadmap, or connecting people across the world through our shared cultural values. **About the Role**: We are looking for a strategic and creative communications all-star to join the employee communications team in the Latin America region. This role will report to the Head of Executive and Employee Communications in the region, and partner with global and regional Communications teams and cross-functional partners across the company. This is an excellent opportunity to be part of a team that deeply impacts Uber’s culture through storytelling, and communicating the inspiring and innovative work that’s happening every day. **What You'll Do**: - Build relationships with regional and local leaders and stakeholders. - Build and execute internal communications strategies to showcase LATAM success stories to employees in the region and globally. - Collaborate with teammates to cascade global communications strategies regionally and locally. - Partner with Policy, PR and Marketing colleagues to align internal and external messaging. - Support and implement regular Mexico and Brazil All hands and internal events, including executive briefing documents, talking points and pre/post-event communications. - Help build a vibrant culture that attracts and retains the best talent for Uber. **Basic Qualifications**: - An excellent writer with 6+ proven years of experience in Internal Communication who can distill sophisticated ideas into simple, compelling communications either in English, Spanish and Portuguese through presentations, talking points or written communications. - A detail oriented professional who does not miss the big picture. - A strategic thought partner who can work closely with executives and stay calm under pressure. - A strong influencer who can earn the confidence of their cross-functional colleagues to get to the best outcome for Uber. - A team player who knows when to lead and when to be a thought partner. - A skilled storyteller who is creative about how to share information, from channels to format to timing. - A strong project manager who can keep multiple work streams moving forward, even amid ambiguity. - An experienced professional to work with external vendors. **Bonus Points If You Have**: - Experience handling sophisticated regional internal communication programs in a fast-paced environment. - Validated ability to handle and translate complex business issues into compelling and clear messages. - Ability to leverage communications to support transformation, change management and culture initiatives. - Cultural and political sensitivity, with the ability to take an inclusive approach by working internationally with regional and local teams. - Fluent in Confluence, which we use for our Intranet.
