We are looking for an experienced Financial Controller with strong managerial and operational experience. This role will expand and lead the accounting team for the Middle East Region. The Financial Controller will partner with multiple stakeholders in the Middle East and United States to ensure accurate, complete and timely accounting, reporting and statutory activities, and to help secure the success of the company. This role will directly report to the Principal Accounting Officer in the United States and liaise with the finance leaders in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. **responsibilities**: - Oversee the accounting team and ensure that all tasks and projects including month-end, quarter-end, year-end closing, SOX and reporting are completed accurately and on time, including compliance with the accounting standards (IFRS / US GAAP) and internal policies. - Manage the periodic close and consolidation processes in SAP across the various functions and with the corporate, and local finance and treasury teams. - Investigate and resolve material variances on balance sheet, P/L and cash flow statements and provide related explanations and decision guidance to the corporate team and management. - Oversee all G/L and consolidation for the relevant entities in the Middle East Region, including Blackline and intercompany reconciliations. - Own the process on issuance of statutory financial statements and regulatory/compliance reporting to the banks or government. - Ensure proper accounting information flow that is integrated with the overall management information system as the Company grows. - Evaluate, develop, and improve department controls, systems, and procedures to enhance accuracy and efficiency. - Ensure payable and receivables are appropriately dispositioned and settled. - Ensure fixed assets records are following local statutory requirements. - Support activities related to payroll, procurement and other functions. - Develop and perform internal controls and work closely with relevant departments to ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures, the Internal Control System and SOX. - Collaborate with Financial Planning & Analysis team on developing and implementing plans for budgeting, forecasting and reporting. - Manage others, develop exceptional talent, and encourage team to challenge assumptions. **Qualifications**: - Relevant background in publicly traded manufacturing companies with Big 4 experience (preferred). - Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance with a CPA/MBA preferred. - Minimum of 10 years of accounting/finance experience and 5 years of managerial experience. - Strong knowledge of IFRS and U.S. GAAP (preferred) as well as statutory reporting, SOX, accounting, finance, budgeting, and cost control procedures. - Excellent time management skills, communication, decision making, and organizational skills. - Ability to manage multiple projects and assignments with a high degree of autonomy and accountability for results. - Ability to develop strong partnerships and influence people effectively. - Proven technical, quantitative and critical-thinking skills, initiative and creativity. - High proficiency with SAP and MS Office/Excel.
