Overview Publicis Sapient is looking for a detail-oriented Junior Automation Quality Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will bring a solid foundation in quality assurance, with hands-on experience in both manual and automated testing. In this role, you'll collaborate closely with developers to ensure the functionality, performance, and reliability of a mission-critical application undergoing a transformation — from a legacy monolithic system to a modern Java and React-based architecture hosted on Microsoft Azure. Responsibilities Your Impact: Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive test plans and test cases for both manual and automated testing. Perform functional, regression, integration, and performance testing to ensure the quality of the migrated application. Identify, document, and track defects and issues, working closely with the development team to ensure timely resolution. Collaborate with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and provide feedback on testability and quality risks. Set up and maintain automated testing frameworks and scripts to improve testing efficiency and coverage. Participate in code reviews and provide feedback from a QA perspective. Ensure that the application meets the required standards and specifications before release. Continuously improve QA processes and methodologies to enhance the overall quality of the product. Qualifications Your Skills and Experience: Proven experience in quality assurance and testing, with a strong understanding of QA methodologies and best practices. Experience with both manual and automated testing tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, Cypress). Strong knowledge of software development life cycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies. Experience with version control systems, preferably Git. Familiarity with continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines and tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions). Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Strong communication and collaboration skills. Set Yourself Apart With: Experience with testing Java and React applications.
