Job Opportunity A Technician is required to ensure the workspace is safe and conducive for optimal performance. Duties: - Perform tasks in accordance with established protocols and schedules. - Maintenance of facilities, including carpentry, electrical, mechanical, and plumbing repairs. - Setting up and dismantling chairs, tables, and equipment for meetings or site functions. - Preparing rooms for use by internal and external organizations. - Conducting routine maintenance tasks such as replacing light bulbs. - Inspecting and troubleshooting equipment and systems (e.g. ventilation). - Verifying functionality of safety systems (e.g. fire alarm). - Collaborating with colleagues and professionals during renovations. - Following all applicable safety rules and security procedures. - Assisting in shipping and receiving supplies and materials. - Reporting any issues to the Facilities Manager and Site Facility Lead. - Participating in general cleaning, painting, and repair work. - Utilizing hand tools and power tools in making minor maintenance repairs and maintaining grounds and walks. - Providing assistance to officials, staff, visitors, and other employees as necessary. - Conducting regular inspections of furniture and fixtures, bulbs and lighting, electrical outlets, and restroom fixtures to ascertain that these are in good working condition. - Receiving and accounting for the completeness of all incoming deliveries of office equipment, furniture and fixtures, and other fixed assets. - Possessing knowledge of the principles, techniques, equipment, and supplies used in the handyman industry. - Inventory management ensuring the office is up to standards with daily walkthroughs. - Possessing basic construction skills and expertise in home repair, maintenance, and renovations. - Organizing and managing equipment required to complete daily tasks. - Providing exceptional customer service to clients. - Able to learn and operate computer programs and systems. - Able to perform physical labor work including bending, lifting (50 lbs), and handling tools. - Necessary driver's license. - Able to stand and walk for extended periods with or without reasonable accommodation. - Flexibility: switching gears, shifting priorities, and balancing task lists with calls for maintenance
