Description Responsible for establishing and maintaining an effective and accurate accounting system and developing and administrating appropriate controls for that system in accordance with U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles. Additionally, this role supports budgeting and forecasting and other related finance activities. Key Responsibilities - Support monthly/quarterly/annual financial statement close processes. - Prepare and/or review manual journal entries as needed ensuring all records have adequate supporting documentation. - Calculate sales bonuses and oversee Independent Rep Commission payments for accuracy, timeliness and completeness. - Act as the legal representative for the Mexico and Colombia entities - Maintain a system of internal controls over accounting transactions and review financial statements and balance sheet reconciliations for accuracy. - Issue timely and complete financial statements. Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal budgetary reporting requirements. - Support internal, external and statutory audits and provide recommendations for procedural improvements. - Support financial planning and budget management functions for Mexico and Central America business units. - Monitor and analyze monthly operating results against budgets and forecasts. - Oversee credit management and ensure policies and practices are being followed correctly and unnecessary risks are not being taken. - Provide adhoc and scheduled reporting for decision making and metric tracking for all departments across the organization. - Support due diligence and subsequent integration of potential acquisitions. - Perform other related duties as required or assigned. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES - Supervise non-supervisory employee(s). - Interviewing and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance, rewarding, and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. - Working with Human Resources on employee issues.
