About this position AUG is looking for a skilled,analytical, and proactive audit consultant to support the deliveryof 2025 Risk Based Audit Plans (RBAPs). As AUG Consultant, you willperform audit-related work in accordance with audit standards andAUG procedures, needed for the achievement of AUG vision andstrategy while helping the completion of the IDB Invest RBAP bycontributing to individual audit engagements covering governanceand control environment, financial, human resources and informationtechnology resources, as well as, IT governance, corporate,administration and risk management matters. You will work with astrongly motivated, fast paced, innovative and high-quality team inAUG together with players in the rest of the IDB promoting the goodgovernance and management of emerging and transformationalsolutions. The consultant will work closely with the AUGManagement, Lead Auditors and corresponding audit teams to discussand contribute to the identification of relevant risk and controls.Perform research, analysis, testing and produce documentation aspart of audit work programs, and contribute to report drafting andsupporting communications and presentations included in the RBAPengagements. What you’ll do - Perform audit-related work (includingITGC and application controls) in accordance with audit standardsand AUG procedures, needed for the completion of specificengagement to be assigned in due time. - Support to the periodicrisk assessment of the dimensions, segments and processes of theaudit universe, as well as to the risk assessment, planning,fieldwork, reporting and follow up of individual audit engagements.This may include the analysis of the governance and controlenvironment, the financial, human capital and informationtechnology resources, as well as the IT governance, corporate,administration and risk management matters. - Develop dataanalytics objectives and procedures for the assigned engagements;and support the data collection, validation, normalization, andanalysis, as well as reporting and documentation of results. -Conduct research and technical analysis of information to supportaudit teams with technical audit work, in accordance with timelinesestablished by the audit leads. - Apply technical concepts,methodologies, tools, and techniques to assist the audit teams onfinancial, administrative, budgetary, and/or operational activitiesof the IDB Group at Headquarters or in Country Offices necessary toappraise the effectiveness and adequacy of processes, managementsystems, controls and compliance with norms and procedures. -Participate in the drafting of a variety of planning documents,including work programs, audit reports, as well as participating inclient interviews, conducting risk assessments, and testingcontrols. - Support AUG staff on specific matters related to theengagements, while sharing internal knowledge and practices withAUG staff. As required, coordinate work with others within andbeyond AUG to meet business objectives. What you'll need Education:Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Finance, ManagementInformation Systems, or related fields such as Program Development,Monitoring, or Business Analysis, software engineering, computingscience. Professional certifications such as Certified InternalAuditor (CIA), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA),Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC), orCertified Public Accountant (CPA) are a plus. Experience: At least2years of progressive professional experience in relevant businessarea within international financial institutions, multilateraldevelopment bank, external audit. Experience utilizing dataanalytics, continuous auditing, artificial intelligence, or similartechniques. Languages: Proficiency in English and one of the otherBank official languages (Spanish, French or Portuguese) isrequired.
