About the Role: The Credit Manager maintains proper credit procedures throughout the hotel in accordance with local and corporate policies and procedures. Responsibilities: - Establish and maintain local credit policies and procedures regarding billing, credit cards, collections, inquiries, and check collection. - Prepare month-end and year-end reports and reconciliations in accordance with established corporate guidelines. - Handle all inquiries from guests or credit card companies promptly (same day if possible) and professionally. - Ensure quick and accurate billing of all accounts and timely follow-up on collections. - Maintain credit histories, original credit applications approved in writing, and other records for the hotel's regular accounts. - Ensure the check-in/check-out procedure protects the hotel without burdening or delaying guests. - Develop and maintain relationships with regular customers to foster communication and assist in collections. - Prepare and conduct a monthly credit meeting. Requirements: - Professional background in accounting, administrative careers, or related fields. - 3 years of experience in similar positions. - Practical technical knowledge of accounting principles. - Knowledge and ability to operate computer equipment and Microsoft Office Suite software. - Knowledge of Sun, iScala, and Opera Systems (desirable).
