We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Systems Administrator to join our infrastructure team. In this role, you’ll manage mission-critical Linux systems, Azure cloud services, compliance initiatives, network services, backup infrastructure, and monitoring systems. You will be instrumental in ensuring the security, availability, and performance of our infrastructure while helping the company meet its compliance goals (SOC 2, etc.). Skills and Qualifications Required: - Strong experience with Linux systems administration and virtualization (Proxmox/ESXi) - Hands-on Azure management (networking, IAM, PaaS) - Scripting and automation (Bash, Ansible, Terraform) - Deep knowledge of monitoring, logging, and backup systems - Familiarity with SOC 2 compliance and security standards - Experience managing TLS certificates and centralized logging Preferred: - Experience deploying or managing VDI environments - Familiarity with Request Tracker (RT) or similar platforms - Previous experience integrating SSO and enforcing MFA Key Responsibilities: Core Systems Administration - Provision, configure, and maintain Linux servers (bare metal, virtual machines, containers) - Perform patch management and system hardening per CIS benchmarks - Manage user accounts, SSH keys, and sudo access Cloud Infrastructure (Azure): - Secure and manage Azure PaaS resources and networking - Integrate Azure with Linux workloads (e.g., managed identities) - Implement resource hygiene, tagging, and cost monitoring Security and Compliance (SOC 2): - Perform access reviews, maintain logs, and respond to audits - Test backups and maintain infrastructure diagrams - Document evidence and remediation procedures Networking and Monitoring: - Expand and maintain DHCP, DNS, NTP services - Manage LibreNMS, Icinga2, or similar monitoring systems - Develop custom monitoring scripts and alerting integrations (Teams, email, PagerDuty) TLS & Logging: - Migrate and automate TLS certificate management - Forward logs to centralized systems (Loggly or successor) - Standardize log formats and enforce log retention policies VDI & SSO: - Maintain secure, performant VDI infrastructure - Roll out and manage SSO with MFA using SAML/OAuth integrations Vendor & Change Management: - Act as point of contact for vendors like Synoptek - Drive deliverables and escalate performance issues - Participate in change management documentation and CABs Infrastructure Projects: - Deploy Proxmox cluster and migrate from ESXi - Plan and execute centralized backup system implementation - Deploy and manage Request Tracker (RT) as the ticketing platform Automation and IaC: - Automate tasks using Ansible, Terraform, and shell scripts - Maintain infrastructure-as-code for repeatable deployments Benefits: - Competitive salary - Flexible remote work options - Health coverage - Paid time off and parental leave - Learning budget and certification reimbursement - Independent and security-focused culture #J-18808-Ljbffr
