Job summary The Credit Manager is responsible for maintaining the appropriate credit procedures throughout the hotel in accordance with local and corporate policies and procedures. Responsibilities - Establish and maintain local credit policies and procedures regarding billing, credit cards, collections, inquiries and check cashing and prepare monthly and yearly end-of-month and end-of-year reports in accordance with established corporate guidelines. - Ensure that all guest or company credit card inquiries are handled promptly (same day if possible) and in a professional manner. - Ensure the rapid and accurate billing of all accounts and timely collection. - Maintain credit histories, original approved credit requests in writing and other records for regular hotel accounts. - Ensure that the check-in/check-out procedure adequately protects the hotel without burden or delay to hotel guests. - Develop and maintain relationships with regular clients to foster communication and assist in collections. - Prepare and conduct a monthly credit meeting.
