You’d be joining our multi-disciplinary design teams focusing on technical excellence and innovative solutions that create a better future for people, places, and the planet. **Roles and Responsibilities** - Lead technical due diligence, whether for new projects or operating assets, on behalf of investors and lenders including commercial and technical review of contract documents and advising on key risks for our clients. - Lead or contribute in a material, client-facing role for technical, commercial, and/or financial infrastructure advisory engagements - Lead or support the development and assessment of business cases for new projects, working with various client types including government agencies, project sponsors, investors, and developers. - Lead or support the development of procurement strategies, value for money analysis, and procurement documents, and managing procurement processes for government agencies and private clients. - Lead client interface activities such as meetings, presentations, and workshops. - Actively participate in Arup business development and pursuit of new work and client; work with clients in activities such as client meetings, presentations, workshops etc. - Respond to RFP’s and support in the development of winning proposals for the team; - Request, manage and review relevant project data, studies, plans, and contextual issues. - Conduct technical, contractual, planning, economic, and/or financial analysis; - Lead teams on multiple projects to successfully execute technical, commercial, planning, economic and/or financial analysis. - Prepare and/or review analyses, draw conclusions, and make recommendations. - Prepare and deliver presentations of the above to satisfy client needs and goals. - Manage and interact with teams of Arup engineers and consultants, as well as client teams, subconsultants, and other specialists for inputs into due diligence studies, operational performance improvement, and other infrastructure advisory assignments and to deliver excellent and commercially successful work - Mentor junior staff to develop analytical and consulting skills. - Identify and lead pre-positioning activities for future work with clients, and lead proposal efforts. - Develop and maintain strong internal and external professional networks, client relationships. For clarity: this is not a role that involves undertaking / leading design work: the role is more directed towards consulting / advisory tasks, as outlined above. - Bilingual (Spanish / English). - Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, construction management, or business. - Master's degree Project / Construction Management, Economics, Business or Finance, or similar preferred. - 6 - 8 + years of advisory, project management, and/or construction management experience for infrastructure and/or large real estate development projects and/or energy projects including renewable and conventional. - Specific experience in providing technical due diligence is an advantage. - Track-record of developing and managing successful project teams. - Specific sector knowledge in project finance, civil, or energy systems construction, and risk management; ideally has program management experience as well. - Knowledge of alternative project delivery methods, including public-private partnerships and design-build contracts. - Excellent commercial, organizational, presentation, and writing skills are required. Advanced capability with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint are required. - Experience with MSProject or Primavera 6, is an advantage. - Exceptional quantitative and analytical skills. - Excellent written and spoken English and Spanish language skills are required; a range of language skills are an advantage. - Strong interest in and passion for working in infrastructure, or ESG sectors - Must be willing and capable to travel to suit our client’s needs (both domestic and international travel). **Benefits that Work** - At Arup, we have a comprehensive and valuable benefits program that works for our employees and their families while keeping costs low.
