Recruiting on behalf of a partner: We’re building a payroll solution that will revolutionise how companies hire remotely across Europe. We have customers, a strong GTM strategy in addition to extensive domain knowledge. To round out the team we are now searching for a CTO to bring the technical know-how, a creative approach to problem-solving, and ambition to bring innovative solutions. The CTO will be the Technical Co-Founder in exchange for significant equity. We’re building a fully remote company, so you’ll never be asked to come into the office or relocate for this role. You should live in the European Economic Area with a right to work in your country of residence. We have validated the market, conducted extensive legal research, and signed customers with additional larger customers in the pipeline. Having gathered significant insights we are now ready to build out the technical solution to target the biggest potential customers in the market. We have been offering this on a consultancy basis, and now aim to build a product to scale. Responsibilities Technical Leadership: Provide strategic technical direction aligned with company objectives. Ensure scalability, reliability, and security of the platform. Product Development: Translate business needs into technical specifications. Lead MVP development and subsequent iterations. Team Building and Management: Recruit, mentor, and lead an engineering team. Establish clear goals and provide ongoing support. Technology Strategy: Evaluate emerging technologies and trends. Drive technical roadmap and feature prioritisation. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Liaise with non-technical teams to ensure alignment. Communicate complex concepts effectively. Entrepreneurial Mindset: Value candidates with previous startup failure experience. Foster a culture of innovation and resilience. Experience Extensive technical experience, we won’t ask for a certain number of years, but we want you to be experienced enough to come in and lead all technical aspects of the business. Prior startup experience – either Founded or an early team member would be gain some extra browny points Experience managing an engineering team Fintech experience would be highly advantageous Excellent communication skills – we’re fully remote, so you should be comfortable with collaborating with the rest of the team remotely.
