CMA Terminals is a port operator used to develop, design, build, own and operate terminals and dry docks. CMA Terminals welcomes CMA CGM lines but also invites all shipping companies to develop terminals and offer a top quality service. **THE ROLE AND CONTEXT**: TTI ALGECIRAS, the first semi-automated terminal in Southern Europe and the Mediterranean area, a state-of-the-art deep-sea container terminal. Settled on the South of Spain - a strategic point in the Strait of Gibraltar - the common user terminal counts with a concession area of 300,119 sqm, 57,621 sqm of public maneuvering zone and two quay lines of 850 meters on the East and 550 meters on the North, with a draught of 18.5 and 17.5 meters respectively. The terminal is capable of handling the latest and future generations of ULCVs with an equipment of 8 Ship-To-Shore Cranes, 32 Automatic Stacking Cranes and 21 Shuttle Carriers. CMA Terminals is looking for an experienced and well qualified Chief Operating Officer who is ready to lead the operation department and ensure highest terminal performance within a safe working environment As a strategic Officer within the organization, the COO leads the operation department to ensure terminal services are rendered to terminal’s customers and shareholders though the highest, safest & most cost-efficient manner. As COO, you are member of the Terminal top 4 and you report directly to the CEO. **RESPONSIBILITIES**: The COO is in charge to lead, supervise and guide all operational activities on the Terminal The COO is responsible of the operation team with 44 people, and the maintenance team with 26 people. The goals and budget are defined with the CEO and CMAT. TTIA is working 24 H / 7 days with more than 30 calls and ¾ of the activity carried out by CMA CGM lines - Defining, reevaluating and implementing best operational strategies (berthing, yard, resources, etc ) - Ensuring performant and cost-efficient operations by optimizing resources utilization & planning - Leading, guiding and supporting his 2 key direct Managers (Operation & Technical Manager) - Implementing a Continuous Improvement Program in all fields of operations to promote a constant improvement & ownership mindset among the workforce - Checking the correct implementation and execution of all operational procedures - Ensuring a safe working environment by a strict compliance with HSSE policies - Setting and monitoring terminal performances, initiating improvement solutions whenever it is required - Preparing Ops Monthly Performance Report submitted to CEO and CMA Terminals - Preparing annual budget (Expected volume, CAPEX and OPEX ) - Preparing and implementing short, middle and long-term goals defined with the CEO - Being involved in all development projects related to operations - Working closely with the all stakeholders to ensure high customer satisfaction - Maintaining regular communications with all stakeholders & communities for satisfaction/need evaluation - Negotiating agreements & contracts with suppliers & customers including TSA & SLA - Evaluating providers/terminal performance and deliverables on regular basis - Developing a staff management system to ensure staff happiness, performance analysis, carrier path, safety and competences. - Implementing a permanent training program for the workforce to develop polyvalence, maintain & improve skills, train as per latest best practice in force in the terminal and CMAT standards - Being in close relationship with all labor unions **PROFILE AND QUALIFICATIONS**: - University degree in logistics, maritime and port or a marine qualification (Master) - Minimum 10 years in operations management roles in modern automated or semi -automated container terminals with at least 5 as COO (planning, execution, COO). - A confirmed experience of maintenance management of STS, ASC and Shuttle carrier. - Good knowledge of several worldwide recognized TOS - A confirmed experience in automated o
