A Snapshot of Your Day As a Lead Protection and Control Engineer (f/m/d) for Protection Systems in HV Projects at Grid Automation Technology, you will be responsible for designingprotection and control concepts for High Voltage TransmissionSubstations. Your tasks include system/electrical designengineering, configuration, parameterization, and testingprocedures (Factory and Site). You will lead your team from bid toexecution, working closely with other Lead Engineers in domainssuch as Substation Automation System, Cybersecurity, and GridManagement Systems to create innovative digital solutions forcustomers. How You’ll Make An Impact 1. Define control andprotection concepts in offers and projects. 2. Create work packagesfor detailed design, configuration, parameterization, and testing.3. Lead setup development to implement solutions. 4. Prepare theteam for offers and projects. 5. Collaborate with SubstationAutomation and Cybersecurity Engineering to assemble complete Digital Substation Solutions. 6. Ensure quality assurance scope ofwork. 7. Obtain technical approval of defined concepts. 8. Conducttraining sessions and technical presentations with customers,consultants, regulators, etc. 9. Implement continuous improvementprocesses in system design, configuration, and parameterization. What You Bring 1. Completed university degree in electricalengineering, automation, or comparable education. 2. Several yearsof professional experience with protection systems (12+ years). 3. Deep knowledge of protection devices from vendors like SIEMENS(SIPROTEC), Hitachi Energy, SEL, GE for HV substations. 4. Proficiency with configuration tools for protection and controldevices at the bay level of a substation. 5. Knowledge of differentprotection philosophies and protection test equipment. 6.
