We have an office in Santa Marta, Colombia and support fully remote work on a full-time or part-time basis. **About Karla** We are a Colombia-based team working on a journalistic AI that helps write articles and process information on current events. We are working on a prototype and are ambitious to quickly rollout products and features. **The role** We are looking for someone with a solid background in frontend development and building backend infrastructure. You should share our fascination with AI and ambition to build something new. As you are joining a small team, you will have an incredible opportunity to make a meaningful impact on our journey. You'll significantly impact the product and engineering setup and be able to contribute your own ideas. **Technologies We Love** We're at an early stage, so this will evolve a lot. You will have a vital role as an early team member in shaping our technical direction & choices. Currently we use NextJS, develop things with React and use the ChatGPT API. **What Will You Be Doing?** - Develop features from ideation to shipping. - Try out new features and iterate on the product. - Help us improve our tech stack workflows. We're early, you'll be influential in defining our engineering culture and team set up. **What We Are Looking For** - An eye for design and passion for achieving great UIs. - Experience working with LLMs is a plus. - You should be excited about autonomy and be able to move fast and build products end-to-end. - We are prototyping, so the focus is on rolling out features quickly, not writing the most efficient or beautiful code.
