Job Description Visa Global Sourcing Global Sourcing ispart of the Finance organization and manages Visa’s end-to-endsourcing and procurement of goods and services. Sourcing isresponsible for partnering with business owners to lead allstrategic sourcing activities globally to ensure optimal selectionof suppliers that deliver best value in price and quality, whileminimizing risk to Visa. Overview Reporting to the Director of Technology Sourcing, this Sourcing Manager will serve as anindividual contributor and own a portfolio in support of Visa’s Technology organization. Year-over-year, this person will overseeapproximately USD40M+ in spend across a number of key suppliers.The specific focus on this role will involve consulting with Technology stakeholders to define a vision, then delivering uponthat vision through execution of Sourcing activities. This rolewill partner closely with key stakeholders within Visa’s Technology, Finance, and other organizations, including, but notlimited to E/SVP-level leaders globally. In this role, he/she willprovide subject matter expertise, deep market insights andstrategic guidance to business leaders by understanding theirstrategy, initiatives and plans. This person will be expected todeliver against an annual savings target. Responsibilities This isa mid-level role within Visa’s Global Technology Sourcingorganization and the responsibilities range from buildingrelationships with Technology executives and working withstakeholders at all levels of the organization to drive strategicdecision, to leading sourcing business partners to deliver savingswhile balancing the risks and regulatory issues from engaging thirdparties. Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to thefollowing Relationship Building - This role supports Visa’s Technology Infrastructure Systems Sourcing Strategy and keystakeholders, within Visa IT. - Build strong relationships withbusiness partners to drive Sourcing engagements and increase theinfluence/role of Sourcing within the various business teams. Thisperson can expect direct visibility to senior executives including,but not limited to, Visa’s President of Technology, and TechnologyLeadership Team members. - Regularly update executives at alllevels of the company on deal status, category reporting, etc. Provide continuous written and verbal updates to the businesspartners, suppliers and other stakeholders on the status of deal. -Take a global view to ensure that Visa leverages its scaledomestically and internationally. Category Expertise - Collaboratewith Category teams and Visa Technology to establish the Supplier /Product Strategy for Infrastructure Systems Software as a categoryof spend at Visa. - Understand the Visa Technology footprint, thelong and short-term strategies and the suppliers within thatlandscape. - Oversee the aligned categories. Understand thesupplier impacts and effectively communicate to Sourcing executivesand Technology stakeholders to inform risk/reward decision-making. - Perform market analysis to support recommendations to the Technology teams. - Drive a sustainable pipeline of activity andproactively engages Technology Business Partners to ensure properrunway. - Maintain an understanding of the regulatory market as itimpacts Visa Technology’s Infrastructure Software strategy andmarket approach. - This role will have global reach, high impact,and will be responsible for delivery of key program-levelinitiatives. The preferred candidate will bring an understanding ofsoftware licensing and have a can-do attitude. SourcingCapabilities - Commercial & Contract Negotiations - Manageescalations. Support the Sourcing and Technology teams to negotiateand drive best-in-class deals for Visa. This role requires astrategic view and the willingness to execute on the day-to-day. -Drive multi-vendor strategies to optimize Visa’s leverage andreduce operational risk. Execute RFx events to support Visa’s Technology organization. - Perform savings tracking and reportrealized savings on a continual basis. - Negotiate contract termsand conditions as a first line of defense, in partnership with VisaLegal, Data Privacy, Cybersecurity, and other teams. - Take part inquarterly reporting, regularly recurring team meetings, and ongoingupdates to direct reports, peers and leaders around theorganization. QualificationsBasic Qualifications •5 or more years of relevant work experiencewith a Bachelor's Degree or at least 2 years of work experiencewith an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 0 years ofwork experience with a PhD Preferred Qualification •4+ years ofexperience as a sourcing and/or procurement professional,preferably with a focus on Technology and Software supplierrelationships. - Demonstrated understanding of software licensing,including the ability to converse with, and influence, key IT and Procurement executives on supplier strategy, sales models,market/Visa levers, and financial modelling. - Excellent written,oral and presentation skills and an ability to synthesize complexand technical information into clear recommendations on course ofaction. - Demonstrated technology and software negotiationexperience. - Experience supporting technology and otherstakeholders with a passion to deliver outstanding customerservice, forge lasting relationships, and approach goals with teaminterests in mind. - Demonstrated ability to manage vendorrelationships and influence key vendor account executives. - Highlevel of self-motivation and initiative, and ability to operate asa team player. - Willingness to offer thought leadership, to thinkcreatively, and to offer new ways of approaching old problems. - Undergraduate degree or equivalent work experience required,preferable in business, economics, computer science orengineering-related field, graduate degree in business, economicsor engineering a plus.
