JOB DESCRIPTION Job Title: Logistics Executive Reports to: Brokerage Operations Manager Mission of the position: As a Logistics Executive, your mission is to ensure the successful daily execution of transportation operations while fostering strong relationships with carriers and assisting with client account management. Your primary responsibilities include covering loads, developing capacity, and hunting for new business during slow periods. You will play a pivotal role in optimizing logistics processes, resolving operational challenges, generating profitable margins, and expanding our network of reliable carriers and customers. Responsibilities: Develop relationships with core carriers and promote the benefits of using our service. Make outbound calls to solicit and match carriers with available loads and handle inbound calls for carrier availability. Assist in tracing shipments by making outbound calls and querying carrier websites to determine shipment status. Provide pricing information to shipper representatives as needed. Manage and organize transportation boards according to assigned accounts or customers. Handle the order entry process for customer loads and verify status and movements in the McLeod platform. Update required information in the customer portal. Support various operational areas within the company. Search company records using the TMS system and provide necessary information or reports to customers and team members. Resolve customer inquiries related to shipments in transit. Maintain communication with shippers for order completion. Respond to requests via telephone or email. Update tracking and ETA notes as shipments progress and notify recipients or sales teams of ETAs prior to delivery. Document management activities for each load in McLeod, including hours and relevant information received. Perform other duties as required by the position.
