RN Healthcare Facility Surveyor Role Overview This is a remote position that requires up to 75% travel and involves working in a technically exciting environment supporting internal and external customers nationwide. About the Position As a RN Healthcare Facility Surveyor, you will be responsible for conducting on-site surveys of Medicare-Medicaid certified health care facilities to determine compliance with Federal regulations. Your primary goal will be to evaluate various aspects of the healthcare facility system, including quality of care, consumers' rights, and physical plant. Key Responsibilities - Conduct thorough site reviews to assess compliance with Federal regulations. - Evaluate the quality of care provided to patients, ensuring it meets Federal requirements. - Determine if care, treatment, and services are consistent with Federal standards. - Communicate non-compliance issues with key personnel throughout the site review and during exit conferences. - Determine if a plan of correction is acceptable. - Conduct follow-up visits and monitoring surveys to ensure facilities' plans of correction have been implemented. Requirements - Must have an Associate or Bachelor's degree in nursing. - Must have completed CMS's Long-Term Care Basic Training and passed the Surveyor Minimum Qualifications Test (SMQT). - Must have at least two years of recent experience working as a surveyor accrediting or certifying facilities that serve residents of long-term care facilities. - Must maintain current licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN).
