Here's how you can contribute to connecting the world: We are seeking an experienced engineer with expertise in high-speed, mixed-signal PCB layout design to join our R&D; team in Sunnyvale, California. This role requires 3 days in our Sunnyvale office. Key Responsibilities: • Lead layout designs and reviews for high-speed, mixed-signal Wi-Fi Access Points. • Establish PCB stack-up and impedance geometries. • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to apply best practices for SI, PI, DFM, DFT, DFA, EMI, and mechanicals. • General Allegro footprint creations, OrCAD symbol creations. • Own schematic designs for antennas and accessories. • Manage milestones from study to final placements, constraints, DRC management, routing, and post-processes while handling dynamic updates from EE, RF, antenna, ME, and manufacture teams. • Understand and apply methodologies of reusing existing internal and external evaluation designs. • Generate PCB files and documents - Gerbers, ODB++, fab drawings, assembly drawings. • Request and address PCB fabrication inquiries and approvals of RFQs, EQs, FAIs, and ECOs. • Review and support outsourced projects. • Support compliance and other groups as necessary. • Sustain legacy products, qualify alternate PCB fab houses. Required Qualifications: • Minimum BSEE with 10+ years of relevant experience in high-speed digital and wireless PCB design. • Must have layout experience on common high-speed interfaces, PCIe, 10G Ethernet, DDR4, SPI, USB, RF, antenna. • Expert proficiency in Cadence Allegro 17.2 and 17.4 PCB layout, libraries, constraint management; ability to lead whole design from scratch to product. • Strong proficiency in Cadence OrCAD, can work with board and antenna designers to create and modify schematics. • Excellent knowledge of SI, PI, EMI for high-speed PCB designs. • Excellent knowledge of DC/DC switching power supply PCB design, PoE experience is preferred too. • Familiarity with IPC, JEDEC, IEEE, and other electronic standards. • Detailed knowledge of PCB manufacturing and assembly processes. • Familiarity with design rules and tools of DFM, DFT, and DFA. • Good communication skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams. • Willing to work with overseas fab houses, JDM partners, and Ruckus overseas teams. • Must be a team player and adapt to a high-paced R&D; environment.
