**_Job Description_** GP Transco, a leader in the transportation industry in Chicago, Illinois, is looking for a dependable person to join our rapidly growing company. We are seeking to fill the position of Billing Specialist. The position is responsible for various accounting functions and serves as the link between the company's financial department and external clients. **_General Duties: _** - Approve documentation to our TMS (Transportation Management System) - Basic data entry in Sage (Financial Management System) - Communicate with drivers to obtain missing paperwork - Resolve issues with brokers related to shipment paperwork - Create custom billing for select customer group **_Qualifications: _** - Attention to detail and thoroughness - Ability to analyze and resolve issues using critical thinking skills - Ability to work well with others - Strong organizational skills - Strong oral and written communication skills - Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). - Sage or other financial management systems knowledge is a plus - Preferred experience in the trucking industry **_Competitive Benefits Package: _** - Competitive pay - Paid training - Team building events, free lunch on Fridays Monday 7:30 am - 5pm Tuesday 7:30 am - 5pm Wednesday 7:30 am - 5pm Thursday 7:30 am - 5pm Friday 7:30 am - 5pm **Salary**: From $3,000,000 per month
