Senior UC Operations Engineer Softtek is seeking a Senior Unified Communications (UC) Operations Engineer with strong expertise in Cisco voice solutions to join our global infrastructure team. This role is hybrid in Bogotá and will focus on the deployment, support, and optimization of collaboration and contact center technologies — with an emphasis on Cisco Jabber, Webex Calling, and Cisco Contact Center platforms. Key Responsibilities: - Act as a subject matter expert in Cisco UC and Contact Center environments. - Lead deployment and migration of Cisco collaboration platforms, including Jabber, Webex Calling, CUCM, UCCE , and CVP . - Configure gateways and consolidate telephony technologies across global sites. - Work with stakeholders to gather requirements and implement changes to call flows and dial plans. - Provide L2 escalation support in complex technical environments with third-party integrations. - Create and maintain detailed technical documentation and diagrams. - Collaborate with vendors to ensure SLA compliance. Requirements: - 5+ years of experience in Unified Communications and/or Contact Center environments. - Hands-on experience with Cisco Voice technologies , especially Jabber, Webex Calling, CUCM, UCCE , and Cisco Contact Center. - Strong troubleshooting skills in multi-vendor, integrated environments. - Knowledge of SIP trunking , TDM , and telecom regulations. - Experience with network infrastructure (QoS, routing, DHCP, DNS) and packet analysis tools. - Understanding of collaboration-related security components (firewalls, VPN, certificates, encryption). - Familiarity with project methodologies such as Agile, DevOps, or SDLC. - Excellent communication and documentation skills — capable of working with both technical and non-technical teams. - B2 / C1 English level (written and spoken). - Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience. - Preferred: Professional certification such as CCNP Collaboration .
