As a Data Science Technical Lead, you will play a critical role in designing and deploying advanced data science solutions to identify, analyze, and mitigate fraud and other risks across the Latin American market. You will be part of a high-performing team of data scientists, where your expertise will guide the development of scalable, data-driven systems to protect the organization and its customers from fraud. This is a hands-on role with a strong focus on modeling, experimentation, and analytical problem-solving.
What You Will Do
Be a technical leader within the Data Science team in the Fraud Prevention department for Latin America, setting standards for modeling excellence and analytical rigor. Define the technical approach for key data science projects, mentoring team members and providing deep reviews of model design, code, and evaluation techniques. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate complex business problems into robust data science solutions. Design and implement machine learning models for fraud detection, balancing innovation and alignment with business objectives with robustness and scalability. Build and maintaindatapipelines using tools like DBT and Snowflake to ensure high-quality, reliable data foundations for modeling and analytics. Enable data-driven decisions by developing dashboards and monitoring tools in Tableau, Power BI, or Kibana for performance and fraud trends.
What You Need To Succeed
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, mathematics, economics, statistics, or a related field. 4+ years of experience in data science. Strong hands-on experience developing, training, and deploying machine learning models. Advanced SQL for data exploration, transformation, and aggregation. Proficiency in Python and its data science ecosystem. Familiarity with data visualization platforms such as Tableau, Power BI, or Kibana. Advanced English level. Experience in data modeling, including the design of data structures to support analytical and machine learning use cases. Familiarity with dimensional modeling, star/snowflake schemas, and cloud data warehouses such as Snowflake is highly desirable.
