Job Description General Responsibilities: Manage all aspects of a facilities, materials, environmental, or geotechnical engineering project to ensure it is safely completed on time, within scope, and within budget. Responsible for completing the project as per its contracted scope; monitor progress and performance against the project plan. Troubleshoot operational problems, recommend or resolve issues, and minimize delays. May handle resource management, project scheduling, budgets, forecasts, and collaborate with external vendors, subcontractors, or contractors. Conduct meetings and prepare reports to communicate project status to the team and client. Set priorities, assign tasks, and coordinate staff to meet targets and milestones. May communicate with the client and deliver work products to their satisfaction. Coordinate with APR to ensure engagement throughout the project, especially at critical junctures. Involved in approving invoices, preparing change orders, and collections. Essential Roles and Responsibilities: Manage all aspects of large-scale, complex projects. Define project scope, schedule, and budget in collaboration with the client or NAM. Lead interactions with clients and stakeholders to ensure their goals are considered. Design, communicate, and implement project plans for completion. Lead safety efforts, including preparation and compliance with safety plans. Resolve operational issues and minimize delays. Identify and gather resources necessary for project completion. Prepare designs, work specifications, schedules, budgets, and forecasts; select materials, equipment, staff, and contractors. Estimate costs, resources, and time needed. Forecast expenditures and manage scope and schedule to meet budgets. Monitor activities, allocate resources, and assign tasks to ensure targets are met. Partner with other departments to secure specialized resources. Conduct project meetings and prepare status reports. Coach and mentor project staff, assisting in problem-solving. Coordinate with APR for oversight and quality reviews. Coordinate with accounting for financial management, invoicing, and collections. Develop an understanding of project-related risks and company policies. Lead safety initiatives, promote a safe work environment, and model safety practices. Promote continuous quality monitoring and improvement, engaging APRs at project onset. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Geology, or related field, with at least 10 years' relevant experience; or a minimum of 14 years' relevant experience without a degree. Valid driver's license with an acceptable violation history. Preferred Certifications: Project Management Professional (PMP) Professional Engineer (PE), Professional Geologist (PG), or similar relevant certification.
