Location: CO - Cali Goodyear Talent Acquisition Representative: Susana Mora Sponsorship Available: No Relocation Assistance Available: No Primary Purpose and Main Responsibilities The Analyst reports to the General Accounting coordinator with the primary purpose of providing clear, accurate information for managing & analyzing a segment of the business, in accordance with accounting principles, government regulations, and company practices and policies. Responsible for various closing, accounting, consolidation & tax reporting activities. Principle Duties and Responsibilities: Prepare the reconciliation accounts, analyze differences and add the supporting documentation. Register journal entries during the month and in the month-end closing process. Prepare the month-end closing activities to transmit accurate financials in accordance with the Regional and Corporate deadlines. Research and reconcile assigned general ledger accounts in accordance with company policies. Prepare the final tax reports. Provide support to all areas of the company, delivering the required information on time. Assist in tax and project activities. Prepare information and analysis requested by internal and external auditors. Prepare other information and analysis for special projects (e.g., Electronic Invoice and Payroll). Build organizational capability for innovation through training and other avenues. Identify solutions to market-back challenges by leveraging open innovation, emerging technologies, partnerships, networks, suppliers, ideation, etc. Continuously promote changes and innovative improvements on processes, systems, and business concepts to deliver profitable and sustainable growth opportunities to Goodyear. Education and Certifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics. SAP experience (user). Advanced knowledge in Excel. Intermediate English. Experience At least 2 to 3 years of effective experience in accounting - Accounts Payable. Strong knowledge of both local and US GAAP accounting rules. Strong analytical skills and ability to understand complex data and issues and proactively develop solutions. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Sense of urgency and analytical thinking. Communication skills - ability to interact with different levels of the organization. Demonstrated ability to approach problem-solving with creativity, innovation, and collaboration.
