Provides data expertise necessary for customer product activations, data updates in production, operational support to implementations, data monitoring, investigations of IR/PTRs and solution findings through data correction, escalation & follow-up Navitaire is modernizing our portfolio to apply cloud native architecture principles, and to align with offer and order retailing concepts. As we undertake this evolution, we want to embrace a data first strategy. Enabling Navitaire to better understand the performance of the platform and our airlines to better understand and retail to their customers. Summary of the Role: The successful candidate will analyze and document the structure of our current databases, help create new data models, and ensure alignment with business requirements, rules, and regulations. This role requires a deep understanding of data management, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work closely with cross-functional teams and data architect. In this role you'll: Database Analysis and Documentation: Analyze existing database structures to understand data flows, relationships, and dependencies. Document the current database schema, data dictionaries, and data lineage. Identify areas for improvement and optimization in current database structures. Data Modeling: Collaborate with product owners, data architects and software engineers to design and develop new data models that meet business needs. Ensure data models are scalable, efficient, and aligned with best practices. Create and maintain data models, diagrams, and documentation. Business Requirements: Work with stakeholders to gather and understand business requirements related to data. Translate business requirements into technical specifications for data models and databases. Compliance and Governance: Understand and apply relevant data governance, data privacy, and regulatory requirements. Ensure data models and database structures comply with industry standards and regulations. Monitor and report on compliance with data governance standards. Data Quality and Integrity: Develop and implement data quality checks and validation processes. Monitor and resolve data quality issues to maintain data integrity. Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with software and data engineers, business analysts and other IT staff to implement and optimize data models Communicate findings, insights, and recommendations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Provide support and training to users on new data models and database structures. About the ideal candidate: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field. 3 to 5 years of experience as a Data Analyst or similar role. Proficiency in SQL and experience with database management systems (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server). Understanding of NoSQL data stores and JSON document modeling Understanding of data modeling concepts. Experience with data modeling tools (e.g., ERwin, ER/Studio). Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills. Knowledge of data governance, data privacy, and regulatory requirements. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work in an agile, collaborative, and fast-paced environment.
