Within the Public Sector team, is a Centre of Excellence comprised of subjectmatter experts across commercial practice areas including Mobility,Flows (Disbursements, Procurement, and Collections) EconomicDevelopment (Insights, Services, and Growth Segments – Tourism,SME). This team includes deep experts in both government and Mastercard solutions, and thought leaders, with a proven history ofsolidifying partnerships and winning business. As Director, UrbanMobility in Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC), your role is tosupport Mastercard’s in-country teams in driving the attainment ofkey urban mobility objectives, including: removal of friction fromday-to-day journeys, reduction of cost and complexity for urbanmobility operators and realization of our vision for sustainableand inclusive urban mobility journeys. The goals of this positionare to drive innovation, build lasting and high-value privatesector partnerships, ensure seamless delivery of our commitments togovernment agencies, shape our go-to-market approach, and position Mastercard as a key thought-leader and partner across the globe. The selected candidate will be responsible for shaping andexecuting Mastercard’s Urban Mobility strategy in Latin America andthe Caribbean. Role: The Director of Urban Mobility will beresponsible for the following key areas across the Latin Americaand the Caribbean: 1. Deploy Mastercard’s urban mobility strategyand go-to-market plans. 2. Support business development effortsthrough deep urban mobility subject matter expertise, and help togrow the expand opportunities by identifying and cultivatingrelationships with key transit and urban mobility stakeholders /cities. 3. Develop deep partnerships with the private sector urbanmobility partners that help to scale our business. 4. Identify keyuse cases and enhancements with our range of products to grow thepartnerships and complement the key focus areas. Confirm marketopportunities with external market engagement and develop relatedopportunity map for regions and partners. 5. Advocate for Mastercard payment solutions and technologies across the transitand urban mobility space, including open loop payments in transitsystems around the world. 6. Identify areas for innovation andindustry thought leadership. 7. Advocate for changes andenhancements to urban mobility products to support evolving LACmarket needs. 8. Support market and business development teams incrafting responses to urban mobility RFPs. 9. Activate and inspirethe work of Mastercard team members throughout the Latin Americaand the Caribbean urban mobility community by sharing bestpractices, developing use cases, and creating a culture ofcollaboration. 10. Be an ambassador for innovation includingleading key initiatives with clients and partners, sharing successwith delegations from around the world, and informing our globalmobility roadmap. About you To be successful in this assignment, weneed to rely on the candidate’s strategic thinking, ability tobring about change, presentation skills, and detailed businessmodelling. Interpersonal skills are essential for obtaining thecommitment of executive management and local resources. Othernotable attributes include: 1. Deep experience with transit andurban mobility. 2. Track record of building highly successfulinternal or external partnerships. 3. Strong leadership,interpersonal and communication skills. 4. Experience in workingacross global markets (particularly Latin America). 5. Understanding of payments a plus but not essential. 6. Must showdrive/energy and encourage teamwork. 7. Sound business judgement,problem-solving, and analytical skills in multi-cultural andinternational environments. 8. Expert in managing successfulinternal and external partnerships. 9. Independent self-starter,comfortable with ambiguity and with the ability to thrive as anindividual or team contributor. 10. Impactful influencer withability to deploy a range of approaches to build consensus across Product and Market management teams for bold moves to enter newmarkets and to win. 11. Ability to manage multiple high priorityefforts concurrently. 12. Strong analytic and financial modellingskills. 13. History of establishing and delivering on keyperformance indicators. 14. Detail orientation. 15. A provenhistory of bringing innovative ideas to life. 16. Bachelors degreein Business/Finance and MBA or equivalent preferred but notrequired.
