As a member of our Legal team, you’ll generally support all aspects of Anthology’s business operations globally, with an emphasis on the ethical use of Artificial Intelligence. Additionally, you will support the privacy and security program, regulatory obligations, commercial relationships, strategic initiatives, risk management, and compliance functions. The Legal team is committed to excellence and works as a trusted partner to business units across the company. Specific responsibilities will include: - Leading the ethical AI program including maintaining policies, governance, training/awareness, and impact assessments - Supporting the privacy and security programs including the development of policies, training, impact assessments and audits - Managing the ethical AI review process and documentation - Closely and proactively working with product and IT leadership to advise on and support (generative) AI initiatives - Overseeing vendor and partner due diligence reviews related to ethical AI - Developing and maintaining client-facing publications and responding to enquiries from clients and individuals regarding Anthology’s ethical use of AI - Monitoring and advising on laws and regulations regarding ethical AI - Drafting and negotiating agreements with vendors, customers, partners, and consultants - Representing Anthology in industry groups and at client events regarding the ethical use of AI and privacy - Researching legal issues and drafting memos as appropriate Required skills/qualifications: - 6-8 years of relevant legal experience at a law firm or in-house - Qualified lawyer in Colombia - Fluency in written and spoken English at CEF C1 level or above - Excellent academic credentials - Technical understanding of Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning - Experience drafting and negotiating contracts - Ability to communicate with and advise senior leadership - Excellent legal research, analytical, writing, judgment, and decision-making skills - Proven ability to work independently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment - Excellent oral and written communication skills - Ability to pay precise attention to detail and commit to quality work product - Collaborative team player who initiates and inspires change Preferred skills/qualifications: - AI/privacy certification such as IAPP CIPP - Experience advising a SaaS company - Experience with laws applicable to institutions of higher education This job description is not designed to contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties, or responsibilities that are required.
