In just six months, we've grown to over 31 clients, and we're looking for a Senior Bookkeeper to join our expanding team! As a Senior Bookkeeper, you'll be instrumental in managing the financial health of our diverse client base. You'll work closely with our clients, ensuring their financial records are accurate, up-to-date, and compliant, directly contributing to their success and our firm's continued growth. What You'll Do: Manage End-to-End Bookkeeping: Oversee and perform comprehensive bookkeeping duties for multiple clients, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and journal entries. Reconciliation Expert: Conduct thorough bank and credit card reconciliations to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies promptly. Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of financial statements (Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet) and other financial reports as needed. Client Collaboration: Act as a primary point of contact for assigned clients, building strong relationships and providing exceptional service and clear communication. Tax Preparation Support: Support the tax preparation process by organizing and verifying financial data. QuickBooks Mastery: Utilize QuickBooks extensively to manage client accounts, ensuring efficient and accurate record-keeping. Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline bookkeeping processes and enhance efficiency for our clients and the firm. Quality Assurance: Ensure all financial transactions are recorded accurately and adhere to relevant accounting principles and company policies. What You'll Bring: Proven Experience: At least 5+ years of progressive experience in bookkeeping, preferably within a multi-client environment or accounting firm. QuickBooks Proficiency: Expert-level proficiency with QuickBooks Desktop and QuickBooks Online is a must. Accounting Knowledge: Strong understanding of accounting principles (GAAP) and financial reporting. Attention to Detail: Exceptional accuracy and a keen eye for detail in all financial records. Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to identify and resolve discrepancies and complex financial issues independently. Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with clients and team members. Organizational Skills: Superior organizational and time management abilities to handle multiple client accounts and meet deadlines. Proactive Mindset: A self-starter who can work independently and as part of a collaborative team. Bonus Points If You Have: Experience with tax preparation support.
