Hiring Department The Department of Psychiatry Job Description The Department of Psychiatry has an exciting opportunity for one full-time, licensed Physician Assistant to join our growing Psychiatry team. We are dedicated to the treatment of patients, education of learners, and research into mental illness. The department provides a full array of services including inpatient care at the University of Missouri Psychiatric Hospital (MUPC), 24/7 emergency and hospital consultative services, and outpatient adult and child clinics. https://medicine.missouri.edu/departments/psychiatry/ This position will hold the title of Physician Assistant. Salary will depend on qualifications and experience. (This position is a dual post linked to Job ID 54649 - Nurse Practitioner - Department of Psychiatry, and the department will be hiring for two positions.) Shift Type: Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. No Office/Admin Hours. No flexibility for alternative schedules. Minimum Qualifications Physician Assistant (PA) licensure by the Missouri State Board of Registration for the Healing Arts. Preferred Qualifications Graduation from a certified NP/PA program and Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant licensure in Missouri. Credentials such as AP/MHNP, F/MHNP, CAQ-Psychiatry, PA-C, with a strong background in mental/behavioral health. At least 2 years of experience or completion of a Psychiatry PA/NP Fellowship is preferred. Additional training such as CAQ/ANCC certification.
