Position: Dispatch Agent Department: Dispatch Objective: The Dispatch Agent is responsible for managing carrier assignments for booked vehicle shipments. This includes posting orders to load boards, negotiating transport rates, verifying carrier documentation, and ensuring seamless communication with transport providers. The Dispatch Agent reports directly to the Head of Dispatch. Responsibilities: Post assigned vehicle shipments to Central Dispatch and other load boards. Source and negotiate with carriers to ensure timely and cost-effective transport. Verify carrier credentials (insurance, MC authority, safety rating) before assignment. Send dispatch confirmations and ensure all terms are acknowledged by the carrier. Record all dispatch details and updates accurately in the CRM. Track orders and provide timely updates on pickup and delivery progress. Reassign shipments as needed when carriers cancel or fail to perform. Escalate transport issues or delays to the Head of Dispatch as needed. Maintain clear internal communication with the dispatch team. Attend scheduled meetings and contribute to department goals. Qualifications for Dispatch Agent: Experience: Prior experience in dispatching for vehicle transport or logistics is preferred. Proficiency with Central Dispatch and similar load boards is a plus. Familiarity with transport documentation and carrier compliance. English Proficiency: C1 level required. Technical Proficiency: Comfortable with CRM tools (e.g., BATS CRM). Skilled in load board navigation and posting. Able to manage tasks via communication tools like RingCentral. Essential Skills: Negotiation: Capable of securing competitive carrier rates. Organization: Manages dispatch queue with minimal oversight. Detail-Oriented: Ensures accuracy in order entries and carrier vetting. Problem-Solving: Handles changes and cancellations efficiently. Communication: Professional and prompt in internal and carrier interactions. Accountability: Delivers consistent, dependable performance under deadlines. Onboarding & Work Location: The role starts with 3 weeks of on-site training in Bogota, Colombia to ensure a smooth onboarding — after that, you’ll be working remotely. Compensation and Schedule: Employment Type: Contract (Full-Time, Remote) Schedule: Monday to Wednesday 10:00am to 6:30pm EST, Thursday to Friday 1:00pm to 9:30pm EST, full time position.
