**Software Quality Control Engineer** **Full-Time** **Day Shift** **Medellin - Colombia** **Depending on experience** **Position Overview**: **Responsibilities**: - Create detailed and accurate test cases covering different aspects and functionalities of the software. - Execute tests, track defects, and generate test reports. - Ensure adherence to quality standards, conduct code reviews, and identify areas for improvement. - Plan and design effective testing strategies to ensure comprehensive coverage. - Identify and report defects or issues found during testing. - Collaborate with the development team to propose solutions and strengthen current processes. - Document defects accurately and work towards their resolution. - Analyze test results and evaluate if the software meets established requirements and quality standards. - Actively participate in the continuous improvement of processes and quality practices. **Basic Requirements**: - Bilingual with a high level of proficiency in English and Spanish. - Experience in the health and/or travel insurance industry. - Excellent oral and written communication skills for effective stakeholder collaboration. - Proactive problem-solving and solution development abilities. - Strong organizational and attention to detail skills. - Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs. - Familiarity with software development lifecycle, agile methodologies, and development processes. - Experience in various testing types, such as functional, regression, performance, and security testing. - Knowledge of software testing tools, such as Postman. - Familiarity with databases, programming languages, web technologies, software architecture, APIs, and web services. - Ability to analyze software requirements and specifications. - Experience with agile development methodologies. - Familiarity with JIRA is desirable. **Education and Experience**: - Professional degree in systems, computer science, or related fields. - Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in similar roles.
