As a BIM Modeler at ALEC, you will be responsible for developing and managing BIM models for our construction projects in compliance with ISO 19650 and company standards. You will lead the BIM modeling efforts, coordinate with project teams, ensure model accuracy, and support BIM QA/QC processes to deliver quality outputs that meet project requirements. ALECs BIM team works collaboratively to achieve project goals. We are looking for an experienced BIM Modeler who can work independently and as part of a team to deliver high-quality BIM models. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of BIM fundamentals, principles, and workflows. They will be proficient in Revit and AutoCAD, with experience working in a collaborative shared environment. The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, both written and spoken, and be able to work effectively with internal stakeholders, including project managers, site teams, and design teams. Key responsibilities include: - Reviewing Tender & IFC BIM models, 2D drawings, and asset data issued by consultants in line with ISO 19650 standards. - Leading BIM modeling for design documents; guiding and mentoring a team of modelers. - Preparing BIM models and generating general arrangement plans, diagrams, sections, elevations, and schedules using Revit. - Maintaining and optimizing BIM models following best industry practices to ensure healthy, coordinated models. - Coordinating with BIM and design teams to support modeling from 2D CAD plans and construction documents. - Conducting clash detection and supporting clash avoidance measures. - Maintaining and applying company/project BIM standards, templates, and content. - Updating models and drawings based on RFI responses, engineering instructions, and design changes. - Identifying discrepancies in contract documents and reporting them promptly. - Ensuring all work complies with project information standards, BIM Execution Plans, and ALEC BIM implementation standards. - Supporting as-built/redline and handover processes by updating models and extracting accurate drawings. - Providing timely and accurate information to site teams and project managers.
