An Intern to support the General Engineering Department (Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, Automation) in the planning, design, implementation of integrated production systems and provision of services that guarantee performance, reliability, maintainability, compliance with schedule, cost control within the production; continuous improvement of quality performance and ensuring compliance with quality standards. In addition, it will perform quality control testing/inspections on products, materials, components, and parts at various stages of the production process to ensure compliance with quality standards. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES - To assist the Engineer in the use of statistical tools in the work cell. - Assist in preparing an area for a line movement or process change. - Assist the engineer with corrective and preventive actions - Participates in the design of experiments and process capability studies. - You can inspect, measure, and test parts according to drawings, product plan requirements, or engineering sketches. - Update/create production visuals, as directed by the industrial engineer or process engineer. - Audits, maintains, and generates accurate logs, logs and reports. - With limited oversight, it ensures that policies, procedures, inspection techniques and quality plans conform to established standards. - Request, receive and validate tools, as indicated by the Industrial Engineer, Process Engineer or Quality Engineer. - Ensure standardization of Jabil processes throughout the site according to global, regional and site direction. - Support the Lean organization by developing a solid process foundation and data integrity to support the improvement process across the organization. - Comply with and follow all procedures within the company's security policy. - You may perform other duties and responsibilities assigned to you. - Support all Safety, Health and Environment (EHS) programs and initiatives to support our zero-accident culture. JOB QUALIFICATIONS KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS - Understanding of Jabil’s global strategies and direction. - Analytical ability and strong communication skills - Proficiency in use of personal computers, Microsoft Office products, Microsoft Visio. EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS - High school diploma or equivalent required; experience from 0 months to 12 months or equivalent combination of education and experience. WORKING CONDITIONS - Regular business hours. Some additional hours may be required. - Travel requirements: Domestic and/or International: Less than 10% - Climate controlled office environment during normal business hours.
