Title and Summary Senior Specialist, Product Experience Design Mastercard is looking for a brilliant and passionate Product Experience Designer to join its global customer-facing innovation team - Digital Labs. Mastercard Digital Labs is a rapid-prototyping, piloting, and innovation design services team, working with Mastercard’s global customer base of Fortune 500 companies, and spanning all aspects of global commerce. In this role you will be a key member of a highly agile and expert team of product strategists, engineers and UX practitioners working to build conceptual prototypes and quick-to-market test & learn pilots. You will create rich, engaging experiences to bring highly conceptual ideas to life for our customers. RESPONSIBILITIES - In this role you will work closely with a team of product strategists, engineers, and UX designers and researchers to co-innovate directly with Mastercard clients via rapid ideation and prototyping in Design Thinking sprints. - You will travel to client sites across the Latin American and Caribbean regions, and occasionally internationally. This job requires approximately 25% - 35% travel. Willingness to travel is a must, and a desire to travel is a plus. - For each project, you will build an understanding of the client and their customer, the problem to be solved, and align on the best design approach. You will help to define the product and user experience based on research, best practices, and client inputs, and be responsible for creating design artifacts including sketches, story maps, wireframes, visual designs, and/or interactive prototypes as needed - all while collaborating closely with the client and the Digital Labs team. - When not traveling, your days will be a mix of preparing for upcoming events by researching and prepping materials and creating and finalizing deliverables for completed events. - In addition to supporting design sprints, you will also support longer-term engagements such as detailed design iterations and prototyping for concept and usability testing, as well as pilot build-outs. You will grow your skill set to deepen Digital Labs’ future design and innovation capabilities, and you will support overall regional growth and team needs. DESIRED SKILLS - Experience with common UX, design, and prototyping tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite, etc. - Experience presenting designs and explaining design decisions to stakeholders and clients. Engaging presentation and story-telling skills. - Experience working closely with developers and product owners and ability to help drive consensus amongst differing viewpoints. Ability to work collaboratively with a team mindset. - Ability to work quickly and independently, and to accept feedback, direction, and shifting priorities graciously. - Experience creating and/or using a variety of design artifacts, for example personas, journey maps, user flows, scenarios, storyboards, sketches, and wireframes. - Ability to create engaging visual designs and a passion for creating compelling, intuitive, and beautiful interfaces. - Strong written and verbal communication skills. - Experience with design thinking or other innovation/user experience design and ideation methodologies and techniques a plus. - Experience with print design, illustration, and/or visual identity a plus. - Experience in both start-up and corporate environments a plus. - Experience designing chat, voice, and/or retail interactions a plus.
