Job Title: DHC 8 Pilot Job Description The DHC 8 Pilot will be responsible for the safe and legal execution of an ISR flight in accordance with approved Flight and Ground Operations Procedures (FGOPs), applicable host nation rules, and Federal Aviation Regulations. The pilot must perform duties as a DHC 8 Pilot-in-Command in all legal weather, day or night, as safely and efficiently as possible. - Perform all flight planning, performance planning, weight and balance, fuel planning as required to safely and effectively complete the assigned mission. - Maintain all electronics and associated software updates to satisfy all flight planning, performance planning, and weight and balance as required. - Determine that the aircraft is air-worthy in accordance with FARs and approved policies and procedures; complete appropriate preflight inspections. Required Skills and Qualifications Minimum Requirements: - 6 or more years of relevant experience - DHC-8 type rating - Current DoD SECRET security clearance or higher - Commercial Pilot Certificate with multi-engine and instrument rating without limitations - FAA issued Second Class Medical Certificate - A minimum of 500 hours total fixed-wing as pilot-in-command time in a multi-engine turbo prop aircraft, jet aircraft, or combination thereof in aircraft with GTOW 12,500 or greater Desired Pilot Requirements: - FAA ATP MEL - 1,000 hours in aircraft category - Bachelor's degree or equivalent military experience - Multiple tours or assignments flying or supporting airborne ISR missions - Pilot experience with the USSOUTHCOM Combined Air Operations Center (CAOC) - 3 years experience on ISR platform - Spanish communication skills Benefits This is a full-time position.
