This includes video clips, graphics, dialogue, sound effects, and any other special effects. This role demands a keen eye for detail, a deep understanding of storytelling, and proficiency in video editing software. **Responsibilities**: Editing and Assembly: Trim footage segments and compile the sequence of the film to ensure the logical sequencing and smooth running of the final product. Post-Production Enhancements: Add music, dialogues, graphics, and effects as needed to enhance the visual and emotional impact of the content. Collaboration: Work closely with directors, producers, and other team members to determine the desired final product and ensure the vision is achieved. Technical Proficiency: Manage and oversee the quality and progress of audio and video engineering and editing. Innovation: Experiment with styles and techniques, including the design of graphic elements. Department Responsibilities: Quality Control: Ensure all edited content meets company standards and is ready for final viewing. Workflow Management: Organize and manage video assets for efficient access and use in projects. Continued Learning: Stay up-to-date with editing technology trends and best practices to continually improve the quality of work. **Qualifications**: Proven work experience as a Video Editor, with a strong portfolio showcasing a range of projects. Solid experience with digital technology and editing software packages (e.g., Avid Media Composer, Lightworks, Premiere, After Effects, Final Cut). Demonstrable video editing ability with a strong portfolio. Thorough knowledge of timing, motivation, and continuity. Preferred Education: Bachelor's degree in film studies, cinematography, or related field is advantageous.
