Hiring Department The University Of Missouri School of Medicine Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R) Job Description This Dual Posting is linked with Job ID 55760 (Physician Assistant) and only one candidate will be hired for the role, either Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant. This position will provide care for patients within the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R) through the nursing process during consultations, treatments, and follow-up care. The role involves working collaboratively with PM&R physicians in a high-volume clinic setting, treating patients with Traumatic Brain Injury, Spinal Cord Injury, Amputee, and Stroke. Key Duties Evaluation, management, and treatment of PM&R patients following discharge from acute and post-acute hospitalizations. Collaborate with physicians and healthcare professionals to develop and implement treatment goals and care plans. Act as a resource for patients, families, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals to address concerns and improve healthcare delivery. Provide inpatient care and follow-up in collaboration with physicians. Participate in research studies and clinical trials as established by the department. Shift Typically, Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in nursing. Missouri Board of Nursing RN or Nurse Licensure Compact multi-state RN license. RNs must apply under the new state of residency within 30 days if it changes. Preparation as a nurse practitioner through a Master's or certificate program, with a "Document of Recognition" from the Missouri Board of Nursing.
