The Business Performance Management (BPM) Analyst is a Trusted Business Advisor supporting Products (Fuels and Lubricants), one who develops meaningful business insights to drive faster, better decision making and recommendations to improve business performance and returns. The analyst is curious, proactive, and collaborative, with a penchant for action and an ability to sell her/his ideas to colleagues and leaders to drive change. - The analyst routinely engages with Sales, ISC, Finance, GCX, Pricing and other support areas, to ensure timely, accurate, reliable financial analysis, forecasting, and bring business insights to uncover opportunities for improved business results (volume, opex, margins, earnings, cash flow).- Responsibilities:- Deliver timely, accurate, variance analysis, investigation, and reporting of key performance indicators: Volume, Margins, Opex, Indirect Opex, NOI and OEAT. Prepare L5/L4 MBRs, including forecast and business review. - Identify opportunities and develop recommendations or initiatives to improve the business (i.e., emerging sales trends, margin improvement opportunities, opex optimization or savings and competitiveness of customer programs, etc.) - Develop on digital platforms, new analytical tools or processes to simplify reporting, analysis, or uncover unique insights to the business. - Develop materials and facilitate L5 Meetings with sales team, sharing and analyzing volume trends and customer profitability, tracking action items. - Validate and publish MOS (Management Operating System) reports, running and reviewing monthly allocation process, analyzing to ensure accuracy. - Manage operating expense, perform opex analysis, making recommendations and tracking against plan. - Develop and implement operational MOS plans consistent with Business Plan. - Support Fuels & Lubricants District Managers, such as presentations, analytical needs, business recommendations and special projects - Participate in special projects and specialized analysis.- Qualifications:- Bachelor’s Degree in Business/Economics/Finance/ Engineering or related discipline - 5+ years related experience - Bilingual, English and Spanish - Excellent communication, presentation and organizational skills.- Preferred Qualifications:- Familiarity with various reporting tools for business analysis (SAP, AO, MOS/PMOS, DMR(Essbase), Salesforce Analytics, Power BI, Vendavo Profit Analyzer)- Relocation Options: - Relocation will not be considered.- International Considerations: - Expatriate assignments will not be considered.- Chevron regrets that it is unable to sponsor employment Visas or consider individuals on time-limited Visa status for this position.Chevron participates in E-Verify in certain locations as required by law.
