About the Role We are looking for a highly skilled Salesforce Backend Developer to own and optimize our Salesforce architecture and operations. This is a fully remote role ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments, enjoys solving complex integration challenges, and is passionate about building clean, scalable automations. You'll work closely with Sales Ops, Tech, and Product teams to ensure our Salesforce backend is efficient, reliable, and future-proof. Key Responsibilities: - Own all backend Salesforce development, automation, and system logic - Design and implement scalable backend solutions using Apex, Visualforce, SOQL, and LWC - Build and maintain robust Salesforce integrations with third-party tools (e.g., Five9, Twilio, Aircall, AWS) - Manage API connections, OAuth flows, Connected Apps, and data pipelines - Develop and maintain Salesforce Flows, batch jobs, triggers, and validation rules - Solve complex field mapping conflicts, sync errors, and lead routing loops - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into backend logic - Implement CI/CD best practices using tools like GitHub, VS Code, Gearset, SFDX, etc. - Monitor system performance, automate QA checkpoints, and ensure high data hygiene - Proactively flag issues before they become problems—system reliability is key Requirements: - 3+ years of backend development experience focused on Salesforce architecture - Advanced proficiency in Apex, SOQL, Visualforce, and Lightning Web Components (LWC) - Expertise in Salesforce API integrations (REST/SOAP), OAuth, and Connected Apps - Experience working with Salesforce DevOps, Flow, encryption, and platform monitoring - Familiarity with Salesforce CI/CD pipelines using Git-based tools - Comfortable navigating legacy orgs, refactoring messy systems, and scaling automation - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; high ownership mentality - Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English Bonus Points: - Experience in solar, home services, energy, insurance, or finance - Background in call center or sales ops workflows - Familiarity with Heroku, AWS Lambda, or syncing Salesforce with external databases - Salesforce certifications (Platform Developer II, Integration Architect, etc.)
