Software Engineer – Android (Colombia) Location: Colombia (Remote) Temporary contract Compensation: 4,600,000 COP / month (FTE) Key Responsibilities - Lead feature development and technical delivery on major initiatives. - Translate product requirements and designs into high-quality Android code. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement new features. - Design, build, and maintain reusable, reliable, and high-performance code. - Ensure application performance, responsiveness, and overall quality. - Identify and resolve bottlenecks, bugs, and other technical challenges. - Maintain code quality, structure, and automation. - Build efficient and reusable front-end abstractions and systems. - Stay up to date with cutting-edge mobile technologies and engineering best practices. Minimum Qualifications - Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. - 3+ years of proven Android app development experience. - Strong proficiency in Java and Kotlin. - Solid understanding of the Android development lifecycle. - Familiarity with Android libraries, services, and SDKs. - Understanding of UX/UI standards, performance tuning, threading, and offline storage. - Experience with cross-platform software components, test-driven development, and continuous delivery. Preferred Qualifications - Published Android apps available in the Google Play Store. - Strong optimization and benchmarking skills. - Experience managing software projects across different geographies and time zones. - Background in developing SaaS applications.
