We are seeking a Senior Backend Drupal and PHP Developer to join our team and play a critical role in building and maintaining scalable, high-performance web applications. Key Responsibilities: Drupal Development: Build, customize, and maintain Drupal 9/10 modules, themes, and configurations. PHP Development: Write high-quality, maintainable PHP code for backend functionality and integrations. API Development & Integration: Design, develop, and consume RESTful and GraphQL APIs. Performance Optimization: Implement caching strategies, database tuning, and code optimizations. Security & Compliance: Ensure adherence to security best practices, including data privacy and secure coding principles. DevOps & CI/CD: Collaborate with DevOps engineers to automate deployments and maintain infrastructure as code. Database Management: Design and optimize MySQL/MariaDB databases. Code Reviews & Best Practices: Conduct code reviews and mentor junior developers. Technical Documentation: Write clear and comprehensive documentation for APIs, database schemas, and architecture decisions. Required Skills & Experience: 6+ years in backend web development with a focus on Drupal (7/8/9/10) and PHP. Deep understanding of Drupal architecture, theming, and module development. Strong proficiency with PHP (OOP, design patterns). Experience with modern DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and Kubernetes. Expertise in MySQL/MariaDB and database optimization. Hands-on experience with third-party API integrations. Strong knowledge of version control (Git), Composer, Drush, and Drupal Console. Experience with headless Drupal and decoupled frontends (React, Next.js). Familiarity with Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud). Experience with Drupal migrations (Drupal 7 to Drupal 9/10). Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to optimizing systems. Preferred Skills: Experience with Symfony or Laravel. Knowledge of server-side caching (Redis, Varnish, Memcached). Understanding of accessibility (WCAG) and SEO best practices. Familiarity with enterprise authentication systems (SAML, LDAP, Azure AD). Contributions to the Drupal community.
