JOB SUMMARY: This is an Operations position responsible for assisting in and overseeing the safe operation, daily monitoring, and maintenance activities associated with general maintenance and repair of the facility, automatic retrieval systems, dock equipment, minor electrical repairs, plumbing, fleet shop, and security. RESPONSIBILITIES: Demonstrate understanding and adherence to all work safety policies, procedures, and governing requirements. Maintain knowledge of controls and electrical systems (high and low voltage) and comply with OSHA general industry electrical safety standards; Title 29. Follow NFPA 70 National Electrical Code and NFPA 70E electrical safety requirements. Perform electrical meter testing and troubleshooting. Understand OSHA electrical Arc Flash requirements. Work with PLCs (programming logic controllers) including troubleshooting. Complete small welding projects as needed. Handle special projects related to buildings or grounds, such as moving furniture, changing lights, etc. Perform basic maintenance and repairs to ensure timely completion of tasks. Conduct general building maintenance, including light carpentry, painting, plumbing, changing bulbs, and minor electrical repairs. Maintain facility assets through scheduled preventive maintenance, including roof inspections and repairs. Inspect and repair concrete and asphalt paving, industrial wear slabs, product racking, ASRS, and dock equipment. Log time and materials daily into the CMMS, including work orders and preventive maintenance logs. Perform daily refrigeration operator duties, including inspections and logs. Participate in the departmental on-call program as designated. Maintain tools and equipment in a safe and organized manner. Follow safety requirements and wear appropriate PPE. Respond to emergency situations to ensure safety. Promote safety culture within the department. Comply with OSHA and other regulations. Follow organizational policies on attire, grooming, and attendance. Interact effectively with team members, building strong relationships and demonstrating cooperation. QUALIFICATIONS: Education: High School diploma or GED. Facility maintenance tech school (preferred). Experience: At least four years of industrial facility and ASRS maintenance experience or equivalent education and experience. Refrigeration Operator certification (preferred). Professional Skills: Ability to interpret technical procedures and regulations. Proficiency in basic math and measurement conversions. Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations: Valid driver's license and proof of liability coverage. Complete Sysco-approved defensive driving program. Obtain Powered Industrial Equipment Certification within 3 months. Electrical Arc Flash training (preferred). Trade electrical training (preferred). Refrigeration Operator certification (preferred). PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Frequent talking, hearing, standing, walking, sitting, handling, reaching, and climbing. Occasional stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and lifting up to 100 pounds. Visual acuity in various forms is required. WORKING CONDITIONS: Exposure to various environmental conditions including wet, hot, cold, humid, and confined spaces. Work hours include evenings, nights, weekends, holidays, and on-call shifts. Potential travel to other locations as needed.
