The ideal candidate will be guided on a go-to-market strategy and responsible for generating high-quality leads, setting appointments, and ensuring exceptional communication and follow-up practices. Role Overview This is a remote Business Development Representative role focused on generating and qualifying leads. Your daily work will involve researching and identifying ideal prospects, cold calling from a provided list, qualifying those leads, and booking meetings with truly qualified buyers. This isn't a high-volume, dial-for-dollars job. The focus is on building a few strong relationships that convert into high-fit clients. You'll work directly with the founder in a low-pressure, flexible environment where quality matters more than quantity, and results are what count. The right candidate will be guided and supported, but ultimately responsible for finding and generating quality leads and ensuring consistent communication and follow-up. Key Responsibilities: - Generate qualified appointments through outbound prospecting outreach - Conduct discovery to assess the prospect's current and future situation, level of urgency, authority, and intent - Use clear, confident communication to influence decision-makers and guide them toward a better solution, especially when they're stuck in a broken hiring approach or sales pipeline. - Leverage current outbound tools and outreach strategies to bring new clients. - Maintain accurate activity records and pipeline updates in CRM (Close.com or similar) - Being a precision-based prospector only books strong-fit demos and doesn't flood your calendar with weak leads. - Attend one-to-one calls with the founder. - Identify and book high-qualified leads per month following KPI plan, enough to close a pre-determined number of clients. Qualifications: - 2-5+ years of outbound and inbound B2B sales experience. - GTM background and worked in startups. - Worked in business consultancy or ready to learn and work. - Hunter, who qualifies, and a consultative seller. - Proven strong track record of booking qualified sales calls. - Expert in lead generation and building new lead lists and strategies of outreach for every type of prospect. - Expertise in cold calling an existing list, email follow-up outreach, and LinkedIn prospecting. - Ability to identify and qualify prospects based on pain points and buying signals. - Familiarity with CRM systems. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills. - Ability to work independently in a remote, founder-led startup consultancy environment. - Strong time management and attention to detail. - Experience with SaaS, tech, or service-based industries is a plus. - Prior experience in HR, recruitment, or business consulting is a bonus. - Prior SDR experience is a plus. - Comfortable handling the entire outbound process: from research to booking. - Committed, with a growth mindset and a data-driven approach to sales.
