Your expertise will be key in optimizing financial performance and maintaining the fiscal health of the organization.Job OverviewEmployment type: Indefinite Term Type ContractShift: Monday – Friday 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM ESTWork setup: Remote/Work From Home5 days work weekWork from home arrangement20 vacation days in totalFully-customized Emapta laptop and peripheralsIndefinite term type contractDirect exposure to our clientsDiverse and supportive work environmentUnlimited upskilling through Emapta Academy coursesThe Qualifications We SeekMinimum of 2 years of experience in accounting.Minimum of 2 years of experience in financial planning, including budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.Strong understanding of restaurant operations, financial management, and industry-specific accounting principles.Your Daily TasksFinancial Reporting and AnalysisOversee the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements.Analyze financial data, identify trends, and provide insights for decision-making.Develop and maintain financial reporting systems and processes.Accounting OperationsSupervise accounting team activities to ensure timely completion of financial tasks.Manage lease agreements, property taxes, and insurance policies for all restaurant locations.Oversee prepaid expenses, ensuring proper scheduling and allocation across periods.Maintain mortgage schedules and update journal entries for mortgage payments and escrow transactions.Conduct bank reconciliation processes for multiple operating and savings accounts.Compile, calculate, file, and remit sales tax payments to state and local authorities.Complete NYS PTET requirements, including:Annual electionsQuarterly estimated paymentsAnnual extensionsAnnual returnsBudgeting and ForecastingDevelop and manage organizational budgets.Monitor budget performance and prepare financial forecasts.Analyze budget variances and provide recommendations for adjustments.ComplianceEnsure compliance with accounting standards, tax laws, and industry regulations.Stay updated on labor, payroll, HR, business, and tax laws within the restaurant industry.Coordinate internal and external audits, including workers' compensation, insurance, and tax audits.Manage annual business filings, including reports with applicable state departments.Cash ManagementMonitor and manage cash flow across all checking and savings accounts.Oversee weekly bank transfers for intercompany balances and payroll clearing accounts.Manage monthly bank transfers for gift card activity across locations.Optimize cash balances and investment opportunities.Investor RelationsCalculate and prepare investor distributions.Maintain and update investor contact lists across systems.Distribute K-1s to investors annually.Respond to investor inquiries and provide financial updates.Year-End ResponsibilitiesReview, prepare, and file 1099 forms for all entities.Prepare Fixed Asset Schedules and reconcile balance sheet accounts.Generate and review gift card reports.Coordinate and review necessary payroll and financial reports for CPAs.Provide financial data and collaborate with CPAs for annual tax filings.Your Future Team at Emapta LatamJoin Emapta Latam and contribute to our legacy of transforming global outsourcing.
