What You Will Be Doing We are hiring a Junior Engineer to join our global Technology team. This role offers a challenging, fast-paced environment with opportunities to influence and grow within our technology area. Role Description The Junior Security Engineer provides foundational support to maintain and enhance our security posture, including maintaining our WAF and assisting with PoCs to improve security. This entry-level role is ideal for someone early in their security career eager to learn and contribute within a collaborative, agile team. The Junior Engineer will work under the guidance of senior team members, gaining hands-on experience with cloud platforms, automation, vulnerability management, IAM, CDNs, and WAF. Security Engineering Team This team focuses on building and improving systems to strengthen security internally and externally. Our goals include enhancing host security and securing access to domains, working closely with infrastructure teams to reduce silos, and integrating vulnerability scanning into developer pipelines. The team operates 24/7 as a tier-3 escalation layer for security incidents. Key Responsibilities Assist in implementing and maintaining security tools under senior guidance. Support daily monitoring and performance of security platforms. Shadow and collaborate with mid and senior engineers on root cause analysis and incident response. Contribute to post-incident reviews and documentation. Maintain SOPs, playbooks, and architectural diagrams. Develop awareness of monitoring, alerting, and logging. Deliver quality work and contribute to team success. Required Skills and Experience 0–2 years in security engineering or operations. Basic networking knowledge and familiarity with Firewall/WAF technologies. Experience with security tools like Nessus and SIEM platforms such as Kibana or Splunk. Enthusiastic about learning security fundamentals and tools. Understanding of CI/CD and infrastructure principles. Hands-on experience with XDR or NextGen AV solutions. Knowledge of secure coding principles and OWASP Top 10. Desired Skills and Experience Practical Linux troubleshooting skills. Good communication and proactive collaboration. Exposure to identity platforms (Okta, Azure AD), Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, Ansible), CI/CD tools, observability tools, and DNS monitoring is a plus.
