The Role We are seeking an Associate of Production Finance for International Originals in Colombia to join our Local Language Originals Production Finance team at the Netflix Bogotá office. This role will support Production Finance Managers and cross-functional teams in protecting company financial exposure through production oversight and control. Key Responsibilities: - As a strategic partner, you will work closely with Netflix teams, including Content, Production, Legal, Tax, Content Accounting, and FP&A.; - You will effectively manage relationships and inform internal and external partners. - Ensure accurate, timely, and complete budget, cost report, and breakage review, analysis, and reporting. - Manage cash flow and funding processes. - Keep production finance information up-to-date in Netflix Systems. - Demonstrate robust experience with local market taxes, IVA/VAT taxes, unions, incentives, and other related areas. - Provide training, guidance, and leadership to the team, ensuring implementation of best practices, financial controls, and cash management. - Create and present insightful presentations summarizing analysis to influence decision-making. - Compile thoughtful post-mortem analyses to determine areas for optimization and improvement. - Understand the production landscape, allowing you to partner and guide external partners (e.g., Financial Controller, Lead Accountant). - Foster innovation to help develop and test the next generation of production finance tools that enable better economies of scale. - Serve as a trusted resource for information and a strategic business partner within the content team. Requirements To be successful in this role, you will need: - 3+ years of production finance and/or production accounting experience with significant exposure in Colombia. - A solid understanding of US-based production finance setups and US-based accounting systems. - Fluency in English and Spanish language. - The ability to thrive in a fast-paced and challenging environment. - A high level of intellectual curiosity with a focus on generating results. - A solid understanding of territory payroll process, tax, and government compliance requirements. - Budgeting and production accounting software experience, preferably Movie Magic. - A strong commitment to personal and professional integrity and ethics. - A proactive and curious approach to challenges faced. - Self-motivation, discipline, passion, high organization, and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks. - A high aptitude and enthusiasm for complex problem-solving and analysis utilizing financial applications. - Strong written and verbal communication skills. - A college degree in accounting or finance is preferred.
